Details:
1. Programme Coordinator :
i)
Qualifications :
a) Reader/Senior
Lecturer in the University or affiliated College
b) Principal of
affiliated College of the status of Reader with NSS background
c) Must have been
a Programme Officer NSS for at least three years
d) Not more than
50 years of age at the time of selection as Coordinator
ii) Term/Tenure
of the Programme Coordinator : The Programme Coordinator will be
appointed on deputation/short-term contract for the period of three
years extendable by one year further. No Programme Coordinator will
be appointed on permanent basis.
2. TOC Training Coordinator :
Qualifications :
a) Requisite basic
qualification as for the appointment of Reader as per UGC norms in
the University;
b) Experience in the
organization of NSS/Youth Programmes at least for a period of 3
years;
c) Have the basic
skill to impart training to the NSS functionaries;
d) Experience as trainer
in youth work, and relevant publication in this field and/or
research work will be considered as additional qualification;
e) Age limit : The
person so selected should not be more than 50 years of age at the
time of selection;
3. Lecturer-cum-Community Organizer :
Qualifications :
a) The post will be
filled by the persons having the requisite qualifications as for the
appointment of Lecturer in the University/affiliated
college/institutions;
b) The persons should
have at least 2 years of experience in organizing NSS and other
youth programmes;
c) Any other
additional qualifications and experience in youth work, community work,
publications, research and training will be considered as desired
qualifications;
d) The person so
selected should not be more than 40 years of age at the time of
selection;
Tenure and Terms of
Appointment : The person selected for the post of TOC Training Coordinator
will be appointed on deputation/short-term contract for a period of 3 years
at the first instance. The period may be further extended by one year
subject to the satisfactory work and discharge of duties.

CENTRE FOR STUDY OF SOCIAL EXCLUSION AND INCLUSIVE POLICY.
1 Professor-cum-Director
(1) in the pay scale of Rs.16,400-20,900-500-22,400
Essential Qualification/Experience:
Having Post Graduation degree with
Ph.D. in Anthropology, Sociology, Social Work, Law, Economics and Political
Science. An eminent scholar with published work of high quality, actively
engaged in research work with 10 years of experience in Post graduate
teaching including experience of guiding research at Doctoral level.
2 Reader-cum-Deputy
Director (2) in the pay scale of Rs.12,000-420-18,300
Essential Qualification/Experience:
Candidate
with P.G. Degree in Economics (1) and Social Work (1). Good academic record
with a doctoral degree or equivalent published work. Evidence of being
actively engaged in 1) Research or 2) Innovation teaching method or 3)
Production of teaching materials. The candidate should have to possess at
least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the seven point
scale with letters grades O, A, B, C, D, E and F at the Master’s degree
level. A relaxation of 5% will be provided from 55% to 50% of the marks at
the Master’s level for the SC/ST category candidates, and to the Ph.D.
holders who have passed their Master’s degree prior to 19th
September, 1991. Eight years experience of teaching and/or research which
may include three years of Ph.D., research, provided that at least five of
these years were as Assistant Professor in an equivalent position.
Candidates who have good Publications in the field of Social Exclusion and
Inclusive Policy are preferable.

Lecturer-cum-Assistant Director (3) in the pay scale of
Rs.8,000-275-13,500
Essential Qualification/Experience:
Good
academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of
‘B’ in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E, and F at the
Master’s degree level in the subjects like Anthropology (1) Law (1) and
Sociology (1) A relaxation of 5% will be provided from 55% to 50% of the
marks at the Master’s level for the SC/ST category candidates, and to the
Ph.D. holders who have passed their Master’s degree prior to 19th
September, 1991. Besides fulfilling the above Qualifications, candidates
should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for lecturers
conducted by the UGC or similar test accredited by the U.G.C. NET shall
remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as lecturer for those with
Post graduate degree. However, the Candidates having the Ph.D. degree in
the concerned subject are exempted from NET.

Research Associates (2) in the pay scale of Rs.12,000 plus HRA as per
the University rule.
Essential Qualification/Experience:
Post
graduate degree with Ph.D. in the subjects like Political
Science (1) Statistics/Quantitative Economics(1) with 5 years research
experience and publications in National and International Journals –Field
work experience in empirical research/Major Research projects is preferable

Research Assistants (2) in the pay scale of Rs.5,500-9,000
Essential Qualification/Experience:
Post
graduate degree in the subjects like Population Studies (1) Social Work (1)
with two or three years field work/research Experience.

Professional Assistant (1) in the pay
scale of
Rs.5,500-9,000
Essential Qualification/Experience:
B.L.I.Sc.,/M.L.I.Sc with three years experience as Junior Professional
Assistant.
7. Data Entry
Operators (2) in the pay scale of Rs.4,000-6,000
Essential Qualification/Experience:
Any degree
with computer knowledge of data entry experience
General Conditions:
The
University reserve the right to: a) relax any of the requirements with
reference to age and experience in exceptional cases and/or in the case of
persons already holding comparable positions, on a regular basis in a)
University/research institution of repute b) not to fill up any of the
vacancies advertised, I). Since applications received may be short
listed, merely possessing the prescribed qualifications and the requisite
experience would not entitle a person to be called for an interview, II) No
queries or correspondence regarding issue of call letters for
interview/selection of candidates for the post will be entertained at any
stage and canvassing will lead to the candidate being debarred from
consideration for the post, III) Other things
being equal, preference will be given to SCs, STs, OBC and Women. IV)
Reservation and relaxation in age and work experience for SC/ST/BC
candidates and physically challenged persons are applicable as per
Government of India rules V) No TA and DA will be paid for attending the
interview. Persons in employment should apply through their employer, or
attach ‘No Objection Certificate’ without which no application will be
entertained under any condition.

requisite fee of Rs.250/- (Rs.50/- for S.C. & ST candidates) by demand draft
drawn in favour of The Registrar, Andhra University,
Visakhapatnam. The prescribed application form, along with the details
or qualifications, experience and other requirements prescribed for the
above posts can be obtained from the Registrar, Andhra University
either in person between 10-30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
on working days (Monday to Saturday) OR on written request accompanied by a
self-addressed stamped (Rs.25/-) envelop (23 X 8 cm) super scribed “
Request for Faculty recruitment application form”. The Demand Draft (
Account Payee only) should be drawn in favour of the Registrar,
Andhra University Visakhapatnam. The bank draft should be valid
for six months. No postal orders will be accepted. Only
application forms prescribed by the University will be accepted. If a
candidate desires to apply for more than one post he/she should make a
separate application for each post with requisite fee. The candidate
should clearly note that the University would not be responsible for
non-receipt of their application or any delay in receipt thereof on any
account.
