FACILITIES FOR STUDENTS

The academic work of the college is continuously and closely monitored through Class Review Committees on which the students are also active participants.   The institute has a scientifically designed and fully computerized system of collecting student feedback and analyzing it in order to evaluate the performance of every faculty member. It helps the administration in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of every teacher. The teachers are given appropriate advice /training, based on this feedback.

The proctoral system has been introduced for counseling the students.  College is laying emphasis on the faculty development by encouraging faculty to give Seminars on special topics, to participate in Seminars and Conferences to design and conduct the Workshops and Seminars in the college itself.

ANITS is engaged in imparting quality technical education. It constantly strives towards achieving high standards of teaching, training and development of human resources by encouraging its faculty and staff to work as a team and to update their knowledge and skills continually to match the needs of industry.

The faculty are deputed to upgrade their knowledge and to improve their qualifications by undergoing the Staff Development Programmes.  The academic performance of the teachers is continuously assessed and the best of the faculty are identified and honored at Annual Functions.

The ANITS has gone a step ahead of other colleges in this part of Andhra Pradesh in caring for the welfare of students and staff by appointing a qualified full time Psychologist cum Counsellor for their benefit.

The departments are encouraged to make innovation in their respective fields of specialization and also to go beyond the syllabus in imparting knowledge to the students. Establishment of Bioinformatics Lab in Bio-Technology department, Organization of Personality Development Courses, guest lecturers from eminent Professors/Engineers from reputed Institutions and organizations are some steps taken in this direction.

There is a separate computer centre with 70 systems for students. In addition, the CSE and IT departments have 6 laboratories with P-IV systems duly supported by licensed system software and application software adequate to cater to the needs of the students and connected by LAN.

AMENITIES:

Medical Facilities: Anil Neerukonda Educational Society has been running a 300-bed hospital with about 12 specialist doctors and excellent diagnostic and infrastructural facilities in the area adjoining ANITS campus.  This has been operational for the last 3 years and ANITS students and staff can avail of this facility.

Water supply: There are 5 bore wells in ANITS campus with adequate yield to fully meet the water requirement for drinking, laboratory use and other purposes.  An RO Plant (Mineral Water Plant) with a capacity of 1000 Liters per hour for drinking is also established from the academic 2009-10.

STD / ISD Booth: An STD / ISD booth has been provided within the institute campus for use by the staff & students. There are altogether 3 lines, one for a wall-mounted coin box phone and two for the two table top instruments.

To ensure continuous quality power supply, a 20 KVA Generator has been procured in addition to the existing 125 KVA Generator.

Transport facility to the students has been further increased by the addition of 2 more buses to its present fleet of 12 buses and also by extending the operation limits to Steel Plant, Kurmannapalem, and Simhachalam area.

Library procured a Unified library server (Digital Library) at a cost of Rs. 18.65 lakhs for the benefit of the students and faculty. 

An environmental friendly device, solar water system is provided to the Girls Hostel.

FACULTY

Well qualified faculty with eminent senior professors, most of them are with more than 30 years of teaching experience in reputed institutions like IITs, NITs and AU.

INFRASTRUCTURE FACILITIES

1. Well equipped laboratories with State-of-the art equipment and excellent facilities in all the departments.
2. An English Language Laboratory with 30 hubs and special software package to provide a self-paced, interactive learning environment for improvement of communication skills in First year and Third year.
3. Excellent computational and support facilities in the form of a Local Area Network and broadband leased-line internet connectivity.
4. A well furnished A.C. seminar hall with excellent audio and projection facilities and a seating capacity of 350.
5. We have subscribed to IEL & Springer Links under AICTE INDEST Program.  Hence, we have online access to 2,228 International Journals and 20,000 Books.  Tidal Data is also subscribed, which provides so many Journals, Videos of MIT, Stanford Lectures, and NPTEL etc.
