ANIL NEERUKONDA EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY(ANES) has been founded by Dr. Neerukonda. B.R.Prasad, an NRI Philanthropist from USA, in memory of his son, Late Anil Neerukonda. Working with Missionary zeal, unrelenting commitment and strong financial backing Dr. Prasad, along with his friends, planned and compled the construction of a $6 million Venkateswara temple in greater Chicago area, and is its founder chairman.

            ANES was registered at Visakhapatnam on 7^th 2000 with the following Aims and Objectives :

•   To establish, organize and manage both Technical and Non-Technical Colleges and Charitable Institutions without any motive or profit.
   

•     To train students to be good and responsible citizens by nurturing their potential to play and effective and useful role in the society.
   

•      To promote International Understanding in educational & cultural spheres by developing co-operation among Peoples and Nations.

 Dr Prasad  as chairman and a number of eminent persons with Social commitment as it's members, ANES has sponsored ANIL NEERUKONDA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCES (ANITS) in Bheemunipatnam Municipality, Visakhapatnam Dt., Andhar Pradesh, INDIA, a half-an-hour drive from Visakhapatnam city with the avowed objective of developing it into a Center for Excellence.

   ANIL NEERUKONDA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCES (ANITS) is established in the year 2001-2002 with the approval of the ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION (AICTE), New Delhi and the Government of Andhra Pradesh and is affiliated to Andhra University (A.U).

 The identified goals of ANITS are :

•  To attain National Standards within the first five years.

•  To strive to again International recognition in the shortest possible period.

• To provide the best of Technical Education such that this will contribute to  their own overall development and to the society at large.

 ANITS has a sprawling campus of 30 acres in the sylvan surroundings of Sangivalasa Village of Bheemunipatnam Mandal and is approximately 300 m from Chennai-Calcutta National Highway. The Institute is 27 Kms from Visakhapatnam and is with in a 30 minutes Drive. City Service Buses ply from Visakhapatnam every 10 minutes. The campus is at a distance of 3 kms and 1 km from Bheemunipatnam and Thagarapuvalasa respectively. This location is most ideal it's calm of serene setting amidst cashew gardens lands for hard concentration.
