Brief History of the College :
Gayatri College of Science & Management started functioning in the year 1991. The
beginning was modest, but the ambition was lofty. At the
time of inception of his institution, almost all the
Undergraduate Colleges in the district were urban-based.
There was not even one college in the rural surroundings. As
such Gayatri College of Science & Management could well be
called a pioneer in spreading the message of education in
the rural setting. This lack of educational institutions of
higher learning in the surroundings was the starting point
for our educational venture. Our aims and goals are shaped
by this lack of educational opportunities for the children
hailing from villages. For poor children of the village
folks, going to tours and pursuing education has been a wild
dream. Gayatri College of Science & Management aims at
making this dream for the village body a reality. With this
aim at heart, Sri G.V. Swamy Naidu, a young and enterprising
person, started Gayatri College of Science & Management. He
himself hails from an agricultural community from a remote,
inaccessible and sleeping village of Chittipulivalasa in
Srikakulam district of A.P. He comes from a backward
community of a backward village from a backward district. He
dreams of bringing sunshine of education into the lives of
children from the villages. This then is the aim of the
college - to serve the rural masses by spreading the message
of higher education among their under privileged children.

Gayatri College
of Science & Management is Affiliated to Andhra University,
Visakhapatnam for Under Graduate and Postgraduate Courses
MBA, MCA courses are approved by All India Council for
Technical Education (AICTE). The college is not admitted to
Grant-in-Aid. As such it is a self - Financed College. The
College is included in 2f 12B UGC. The College receives
grants from the University Grants Commission (UGC), now and
then for specific purposes. The college is Accredited with B+
rank of the NAAC. Our college procured ISO 9001:2000
certificate by TUV organisation South Africa.

Our
Laboratories:
One of the greatest assets of the college
are laboratories. All the laboratories have sufficient
infrastructure in the laboratory and accommodation. They are
well equipped with decent furniture. The management is
always ready to provide any additional infrastructure,
furniture and accommodation, as the society's financial
resources are adequate to develop the laboratories and
classrooms.
Our Campus:
Our College is located on a spacious
ground of 8.72 acres, with its serene and sober surrounding.
With its greenery and peaceful locality.
Our Staff:
The Educational standards of our
institution depend primarily on the sincerity, dedication
and commitment of the teachers. Teachers are the channels
for which knowledge is imparted to the students. We have
highly qualified dedicated and devoted teachers and each
teacher has possessed the minimum average experience of 5
years.
Activities in the campus:
Many facilities are provided for the
total personality Development of our students. Our wall
magazine SPANDANA creates an outlet for the creative
expression of our students. Our cultural forum gives
students scope to express their histrionic talents. Our
sport fields are indeed shaping many talented Cricketers.
Our debate club and quiz programs really bring out the best
of the intellectual side of the students to light.
Tests & Examinations:
We have a system of regular evaluation of
the students learning. For this, Tests and Examinations are
conducted and progress reports are sent to the parents and
we earnestly solicit parents to provide us with the
necessary feed back for the proper assessment of the
learning process. Hence we insist on 100% attendance of the students every day. Students should take the class work seriously and not as something casual. If we observe any student cutting classes, we immediately bring the fact to the notice of the parents, expecting correction in the behaviour pattern of the strayed student Thus discipline and good behaviour remain as topmost in our educational agenda.
Transport Facility:
As our campus is at a distance of 6 km from Srikakulam located in rural area. With this object of providing comfortable and dependable Transport System. Gurajada Educational society has thus acquired 7 buses.
