The R K Educational Society is started with an avowed purpose to encourage the public towards appreciating and enjoying standard education. The Society formed of educated and Philanthropic Directors started the Degree College in 2001. Premises of the college is situated at the center of the Town at a stone's throw distance from RTC Complex and Railway Station with all amenities and facilities for the students with good library and labs. In view of catering to the dire demand of the public for seats into science groups and combinations, this college started groups at B.Sc. level, with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry; Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science and Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and a very good response is received for the said groups and the results are also very fair. Keeping in view the acute demand and craze for science group from the public, the college subsequently is sanctioned additional seats and additional sections for MPC and CBZ. Ever studying the changing scenario in upliftment of knowledgement and tastes of the revised society, we have been opting for new combinations and groups. New groups CBBC and MB BT BC also are started and are being run over 3 years. The College could bag remarkably good pass percentage comparatively, in the A.U. Exams of March 2008.
Efficient and qualified faculty members have been the back bone of the college who play the role of inspirers than mere teachers. The college thus eventually gained a very good reputation in the District and stood steady, uncompetitive, in maintaining quality education and giving promising results year after year.
Further, the obvious progress and achievements of this college are reflected below:
The pass percentage in the college has been increased year wise and Highest percentage in Individual subjects is also improved. Certain candidates of this college could bag 100% Marks in Mathematics, 99% in Physics, and 97% Chemistry during the last academic year.
Campus selection and recruitment have been done in college over 3 years where in
06 candidates are selected during 2006 year
14 candidates are selected during 2007 year
35 candidates are selected during 2008 year.
The local "Rotary Club" Vizianagaram awarded this college with "Best maintained College Award". What is achieved so far is a drop in the ocean and R K which stands for reliability and quality is dedicated to "Pursuit of excellence".
