The Trust was set up in 1907 and has been instrumental in the establishment of a chain of Educational institutions, which have been providing Education from KG. to P.G. in different fields of Education.

In the face of stiff opposition, fighting difficulties and obstacles, Smt. Addepalli Vivekananda Devi, Social worker and great educationist, Founder Secretary, and Sri. Krovvidi Linga Raju, Founder President Freedom Fighter made his college a reality.

It was the First College meant exclusively for Women. It was inaugurated by Sri.P.V.Narasimha Rao, the then Education Minister and later Prime Minister of India

It has an initial strength of 30 students and 11 Lecturers and was located in a rented building. The next year, the College was shifted to its present premises, the Ananda Gardens. P.U.C., B.A. and B.Com, B.Sc courses were started. Over the year the College has grown by leaps and bounds and has today become one of the largest women's College in the State.

The College owes much to the First Principal Miss. K.Rukmini who was here on deputation. She streamlined the administration and worked for the all-round development of the College till 1973. When the College was admitted into Grant-in-Aid. Smt.L.Butchi Sundari then become the Principal. Since then, the College has been progressing on all fronts, largely due to the efforts of citizens, well wishers, donors, philanthropists and elite of Rajahmundry, who have helped in the growth of the College and with the funds need from time to time and with U.G.C. funds received from time to time.

College is now offering a large number of courses, Traditional, Vocational and restructured and P.G. in Zoology, MA. Economics & MBA. Courses thus catering to the need of large number of students from different cross section of society.
