At the request of the Caltex Oil Refinery, we the sisters of St.Ann's conrageously accepted the intimidating task of beginning this institution. Junior college was started at first on 16-07-1976. On this spacious, evergreen campus, St.Ann's continued to draw large number of students from far & near. Having ensured that the college was on the firm ground with an environement conducive for further growth and expansion, degree courses were introduced in three streams. B.A., B.COM., B.SC in the 1991-1992 with the combination in B.Sc-Bio-Chemistry,Chemistry, Botany, B.Com-Commerce subjects, B.A Vernacular-Public Administration, History, Economics. In 2000-2001 Bio-Techolongy and Micro-Biology were added to the existing B.Sc Course.

Striving for excellence did not hamper the introduction of other programmes which enhanced the all round development of the students.
