      The St. Mary's College of Education, Garividi at Cheepurupalli in Vizianagaram District established during the year 2002-2003 as per G.O.Ms.No.41 dt. 31-03-2003. The Regional Director NCTE, Bangalore had been granted Recognition for the year 2002-2003 with an intake of 100 Students. Similarly the college granted recognition for the year 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 with an intake capacity of 100 Students. The Andhra University, Visakhapatnam granted affiliation for the above mentioned period. They said College has been accorded provisioned Christian Minority Status Certificate by the Government and according admissions were made in to B. Ed. Course for the year 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 respectively. The College is functioning in a rented Standard Building and the College own building is under construction in 11 acres 07 cents of land purchased for B.Ed. College building purpose at Garividi where the college is sanctioned by the Government. Further it is to point out that the B.Ed. College is most essential for the poor and backward Students of Cheepurupalli, Garividi, Merakamudidam and Gurla Mandalams in Vizianagaram District which is remote corner of the backward area as there is no B.Ed. College near to Vizianagaram.
