The Y.K.M. College of Education was started in the year 1999 in the memory of late Sri Yerra Krishana Murthy Ex MLA of Parvatipuram with good intention of preparing good teachers "The destiny of the nation is made in the class room" as said by the Kothari Commission in 1964. The teachers are destiny makers. Since it is they who teach in the class room. They can make or change the Carrier of pupils. Architects, Scientists, Engineers and Politicians are made in the class room. So there is great responsibility on the teachers Y.K.M. College of Education took the opportunity and under took the responsibility of preparing good teachers.

It is situated at Maripivalasa village which is a distance of 7 kms from Parvatipuram in ideal surroundings. The college is situated in 10 acres of land. New building is also constructed and opened recently. This year the 9 th batch of the students is admitted. The college has the strength of 120 students. There are one Principal, 9 Lecturers, 3 Supporting staff and 4 non-teaching staff. The college has all facilities which are provided by the management.

Yerra Krishna Murthy Educational Society: The college committee has been providing many facilities with moderate laboratory equipments as well as Computer Education for the welfare of the students and development of the institution with good intension.
