Anthropological Survey of India is the premier organization which mostly employs the greenhorn anthropologists.  At the state level there is Tribal Cultural Research Organization which not only conducts research on various aspects of the tribals, in addition it also provides some employment.  Many of the national research institutes like, National Institute of Nutrition (NIN), Indian council for Medical Research (ICMR), Indira Gandhi National Museum, Bhopal, Planning Commission.
