The Department has been included under S.A.P. of the U.G.C and received financial assistance from the U.G.C. for construction of a separate building for both the Departments of Economics and Cooperation & Applied Economics. Further, the Department has about a dozen computers for the exclusive use of the teachers for undertaking research work. The Department is interlinked with the University Network System.

The School Economics building has a big seminar hall for conducting even national seminars and the seminar hall  has been well equipped with  furniture. Public Address System, O.H.P etc. 

 The Department as well as the School of Economics have good library facilities apart from the University Library. The School Library subscribes to various  important academic journals.

 Given the importance of consultancy, efforts will be made to integrate it with research, teaching and training. Consultancy also must be coordinated with the alumni. It is for this reason that consultancy and alumni wings will be established and strengthened at the School level, giving necessary incentives to the departments and faculty for undertaking consultancy. Consultancy also will be localized. To begin with, the School will be asked to organize the various service wings of the University, before going to the industry and society requesting  them for consultancy. Confidence, quality of the service and sticking to the time schedule will all be adhered to as the basic principles of consultancy.
