In accordance with the Executive Council of Andhra Pradesh University Proceedings No. SII(Supdt.) 94, dated 28th February, 1997, the agreement of Co-operation between the Asia Theology (AIT), Bangalore and Andhra University, Visakhapatnam signed on 1stFebruary, 1999, the partner institutions have agreed for exchange of teachers ,scholars and students for conducting collaborative research and academic programme in the Center for Religious Studies(CRS), Department of philosophy, Andhra University, Waltair, Visakhapatnam.

The Center may conduct national/international seminars/symposia/conferences on topics related to Religious Studies in collaboration with funding agencies/trusts/institutes (hereafter called "donors")

Candidates for research leading to M.phil/Ph.D degrees sponsored by donors may be admitted in the Center as per terms of agreements with them, provided they fulfill the academic qualification prescribed by the University subject to payments of the furs prescribed in this behalf
