The department is located in new building called ‘School of Social Sciences’ with a built up space of about 10,000 sq. feet consisting of spacious and well furnished class rooms, one large seminar hall, one well equipped library, sufficient number of rooms for the Head of the Department, office, teachers, project  fellows, project associates; separate toilets for students, ladies and the staff. The equipment available in the department includes 4 computing systems. A couple of printers, one scanner, one Xerox machine, one OHP, one slide projector and other audio visual equipment.

                        The department library has more than 1100 books, most of which are latest publications and 50 back numbers of journals in the fields of Sociology and Human Rights.
