I.Yoga Courses
- Certificate Course in Yoga :
Educational Qualification : X Class, Duration: Three months, daily one
hour.
- Beginner's Course in Yoga :
Duration: Two months, daily one hour throughout the year.
- General Yoga Classes for University Community:
Yoga classes are conducted for the students, research scholars, teachers
and supporting staff of the Andhra University under the U.G.C. Yoga
Promotion Scheme regularly throughout the year in the Mediation Centre, 1st
Floor, Sri Venkateswara Prayer Hall, A.U. South Campus.

II. Yoga
Therapy
1.
Yoga Therapy :
Yoga therapy classes are held regularly for the following ailments.
a. Diabetes mellitus
b.
Arthrits - osteo and rheumatoid
c.
Cervical and lumbar spondylitis
d.
Digestive disorders
e.
Menstrual disorders
f.
Respiratory disorders
g.
Neurological and neuromuscular problems
h. High
and low blood pressure
i.
Obesity
Duration: one month, daily one hour. Admission into
these therapy classes is on doctors'
advice.
2.
Naturopathy and Yoga Therapy :
A comprehensive treatment programme based on naturopathy and yoga is also
avaiable for the above disorders in the Yoga Therapy Centre either on an
in-patient
or an out-patient basis. For the inpatients boarding and
lodging facilities are provided.
Two types of accommodation are available in Yoga Village for the
in-patients:Double bedded rooms with attached bathrooms and single bedded
independent cottages.
Facilities are available for treatment procedures of naturopathy like mud
therapy, hydrotherapy, body massage, dietary advice among others. These
facilities are extended to the interested individuals by prior appointment
for enhancing their physical wellbeing.
3. Health Camps :
In the third week of every month,
a ten days, daily two hours intensive nature cure and yoga therapy health
campus are organized for an effective management of one of the above
disorders.

IV. Counseling Services
The Extension wing also offers psychological
counseling and psychotherapy for minor adjustment problems such as anxiety,
depression and low self-esteem. It also undertakes periodically workshops
for better living, personality development and effective adjustment.

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP
One can join the Extension Wing as an annual member to learn
and practice yoga
throughout the year.
