Duties of the College Development Council (CDC):
- Scrutiny of applications for enlistment of the colleges under Section 2
(f) and 12 (B) of the UGC Act and forwarding them to UGC.
- Scrutiny of proposals received from the colleges for basic and development
grants and forwarding them to UGC.
- Forwarding the Joining reports of the FIOP (Short and Long terms) teacher
fellows for M.Phil./Ph.D. to UGC and claming and disbursement of living
allowances and contingent amount to scholars.
- Completion of data in respect of the above
- Preparation of Annual report
- Basic and development grant utilization
- Transmitting UGC information to all the colleges
- College Academic Staff Information System (ASIS) collection of academic,
physical infrastructure data
- Survey of the colleges –Academic and Physical
- Preparation of District Plans for degree and PG colleges
- Publication of Affiliated Colleges year book

- Introduction of P.G. Courses
- Conduct of meetings with the Principals of
the Affiliated Colleges
- Issue of orders for exemption of papers
