 Duties of the College Development Council (CDC):

  1. Scrutiny of applications for enlistment of the colleges under Section 2 (f) and 12 (B) of the UGC Act and forwarding them to UGC.
  2. Scrutiny of proposals received from the colleges for basic and development grants and forwarding them to UGC.
  3. Forwarding the Joining reports of the FIOP (Short and Long terms) teacher fellows for M.Phil./Ph.D. to UGC and claming and disbursement of living allowances and contingent amount to scholars.
  4. Completion of data in respect of the above
  5. Preparation of Annual report
  6. Basic and development grant utilization
  7. Transmitting UGC information to all the colleges
  8. College Academic Staff Information System (ASIS) collection of academic, physical infrastructure data
  9. Survey of the colleges –Academic and Physical
  10. Preparation of District Plans for degree and PG colleges
  11. Publication of Affiliated Colleges year book

Functions of C-11 Section:

  1. Issue of Fresh and Renewal of Affiliation Orders
  2. Preparation of Academic Calendars
  3. Autonomous Colleges
  4. Issue of Permissions for student transfers
  5. Appointment of teaching staff in Engineering Colleges
  6. Issue of Affiliation orders for additional sections
  7. Issue of Affiliation orders for new combinations
  8. Appointment of (I) Feasibility Committee; (II) Inspection Committees; (III) Review Committee
  9. Introduction of P.G. Courses
  10. Conduct of meetings with the Principals of the Affiliated Colleges
  11. Issue of orders for exemption of papers
