About "RIPPLES-2007"
"RIPPLES"
is a student symposium on Chemical Engineering and Technology and related
subjects conducted by the Department of Chemical Engineering, A.U.C.E. in
Visakhapatnam. It was first conducted in 1995 and has been going strong
since then.
This symposium provides an open forum
for young chemical engineers to enrich their knowledge and go beyond
theoretical studies into the fascinating realm of application and
innovation. Indeed, with hundreds of students expressing their interest to
take up the challenge of vying with students from other parts of the country
at this event; and hundreds of businesses and industries in Visakhapatnam
and even other parts of the state of Andhra Pradesh supporting it, "RIPPLES"
has always been fascinating.
It also gives alumni a chance to get
actively involved with the Department's activities, and a chance to catch up
with each other during the Alumni Meet organized as part of the symposium.
This symposium gives students an excellent
opportunity to explore the world of Chemical Engineering research. It will
also help students from all over the country to develop their research
abilities and unveil their presentation skills. Other events like "QUEST" -
the quiz on Chemical Engineering, and a treasure hunt, will allow students
to interact with each other and develop solidarity and the all important
team spirit. Cultural programmes will enliven the atmosphere in the evening.
And so, we, at the Department of Chemical
Engineering, A.U.C.E., would like to invite young Chemical Engineers from
all over the country to participate in this symposium and help us take
forward the ideals of great minds like Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, Dr. C. Venkat
Rao and others, into the new millennium.
