Apart from regular teaching activities the faculty members of the department are actively involved in guiding the research works of the students aspiring for their Ph.D. and M.E.degrees. The faculty members and students of the department are engaged in various research activities such as publication of research papers in various national and international journals, conference/symposia. Rendering consultancy services to the industries located in and around Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh such as HPCL, VPT, Hindustan ShipYard, NSTL (DRDO laboratory), BHEL-Hyderabad, and BHPV.
