ABOUT VISAKHAPATNAM 

Visakhapatnam is an ever expanding Industrial city and located in the North-Eastern region of Andhra Pradesh and is on the shores of Bay of Bengal. Visakhapatnam railway station is on the main line of Howrah and Chennai. The city has direct links with Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and other important places by rail and air as well. Visakhapatnam is blessed with sprawling golden beaches, splendid monuments and ancient temples. On a clear day, Visakhapatnam presents a fine view from the Khailashgiri hills. Some of the tourist attractions of the city of valour and several other tourist places are Kailashgiri, Simhachalam, Borra caves, Araku, Arasavalli, Annavaram and industries like Hindustan Shipyard, Visakhapatnam Port Trust, BHPV, HPCL, Viskha Steel Plant, NTPC, etc. During the month of June weather at Visakhapatnam will be little bit hot with an average temperature of 35-40⁰C and provide congenial atmosphere for the deliberations of the seminar.  

ABOUT UNIVERSITY         

Andhra University (AU) was founded in 1926. It is one of the oldest and premier Universities in India. The University has been offering a wide range of graduate, post graduate and research programmes in various disciplines in Arts, Science, Law and Engineering. Since the day of its inception, the University has indeed, been keeping up its tradition of a national interface. Andhra University is one of the jewels on the east coast of India and it was the pioneer in offering two year MBA programme in India and it is one of the best B-schools in India. Commerce Post graduation programme was started much earlier in 1934. Several great personalities were produced by the University during the last eight decades. The alumni were found in several global organizations. The University is considered to be world class with ISO – 9001:2000 certification and NAAC accredited “A” grade institution. It has over 45 intellectual faculty in the Commerce and Management programme and over 600 students every year. The Dept. has been offering two year MBA full time and three year MBA partime and two year M. Com., two year MBA Retail management and also two year Executive MBA Programme along with research, training and consultancy services.
