Andhra University in its pursuit to achieve excellence in teaching, research and consultancy, has been taking up several Quality initiatives and progressive steps. The 80 years long historical background reflects its glorious performances in the fields of Science and Technology, Engineering, Pharmacy, Humanities and Social Science and Management.  It has the status of the pioneering University which introduced many new courses in various fields for the first time in the country.  The quality standards and performances followed by the University for several decades have been assessed by NAAC and accredited the University with Grade “A” in 2002. The University adopted the quality management system and became the first general University in India to get ISO 9001: 2000 certification in 2006.

     One of the goals of the University is to develop linkages with Industry, Research and Academic Institutions within and outside the country to promote collaborative Research, Training and other programmes of mutual interest and benefit.   Towards this end the University has entered 39 MoUs with various reputed National and International Organizations.  The University is looking forward to have linkages with many more organizations.
