M .B.A. Programme (Self - Finance) Andhra University  M.S.N. P.G. Centre.

      The Andhra University took a decision in 1993 to offer M.B.A.Programme at the Kakinada Centre as an extension programme with effect from 1993-94. This center offers a two-year full time MBA Programme under semester system (with dual specialization) with the active academic support of the Department of Commerce and Management Studies of the Main Campus of the Andhra University.

      The Programme runs on Self-finance basis and offers Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management as specializations from the 3 rd Semester onwards. The All India Council for Technical Education recognizes the MBA Programme.  The Department is also a member of the Association of Indian Management Schools. Admissions into the course are made on the basis of ICET and the intake of the students per year is 40

      The Programme imparts skills through group discussion and effective participation, in addition to the conventional classroom lectures. Forty per cent of the classroom sessions are devoted to interaction between the teachers and the students. Reading material in the form of lecture synopsis or case literature is distributed.  Case study method is widely used. Seminars, simulation exercise and role-play techniques are also conducted to render teaching learning process more meaningful and result oriented.  Apart from regular instruction by the staff, guest lectures are also organized inviting distinguished personalities from different walks of life.  The students are taken round the industrial establishments to enable them to gain first hand knowledge.  Every M.B.A student undergoes practical training for a period of eight weeks and submits a dissertation incorporating his practical training experience.
