II year Assignments As you are aware that the internal marks under each theory paper comprise of assignment for 15 marks and internal test for 10 marks. In this connection, we herewith enclose assignment question papers for each theory paper and you are hereby instructed to answer all the questions in both the assignments(Assignment I and Assignment II) as per the enclosed guidelines and submit the same to the Coordinator of the programme, Prof B.Ch. Krishna Murty, on or before 09-07-2008. Regarding Internal Test a separate communication will be sent to you. It is further informed that the students have to pay the tuition fee dues before submitting the assignments. Defaulters of tuition fee are not allowed to sit for the ensuing examinations.

Press Note : 01 The Director, School of Distance Education, Andhra University informs that the Personal Contact Programme classes for MA Economics, History, Politics, Public Administration, Philosophy will be commenced from 1st March, 2008 at the respective departments of AU Campus. The Personal Contact Programme classes for M.Com., MA English, MA/M.Sc. Mathematics and First year of 3-year MBA programme will be commenced from 1st March, 2008 at School of Distance Education, AU Campus. All the intending candidates (except MA English, MA/M.Sc. Mathematics) are advised to report at the respective venues by 12.00 noon on 1st March, 2008 along with their identity cards for registration and for other details. However, in case of MA English and MA/MSc. Mathematics, the candidates are hereby directed to report by 9.00 a.m. It is further, to inform that the PCP classes for MA Hindi scheduled to be held from 1st March are rescheduled to commence from 15th March, 2008 at the Department of Hindi, AU Campus.
Press Note : 02 The Director, School of Distance Education, Andhra University informs that the candidates aspiring to pursue MCA or MBA programme, either 2-year Executive MBA or 3-year MBA programme through the School of Distance Education, AU are advised to appear for the ICET examination to be held on 11th May, 2008 by the A.P. State Council of Higher Education, for which the notification has already been issued on 05.02.2008. Qualifying at the ICET examination is mandatory for admission into MCA or MBA programme under distance mode. Hence, the candidates are advised to take note of the same. Press Note: 03 The Director, School of Distance Education, Andhra University informs that the students appearing for II year BA/B.Com/B.Sc. Degree Examinations to be commenced from 28th April, 2008, need not appear for the paper Part-II : Environmental Studies as it will come into effect from the Academic Year 2008-09. Kindly take note of this and prepare for the examinations accordingly. Press Note : 04 The Director, School of Distance Education, Andhra University informs that the Spot Admission for BA/B.Com. courses for the supplementary batch of 2007 are scheduled as follows:
Candidates are advised to come prepared with the required fees and certificates for spot admission between 10.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. on the specified dates. Fees can be paid in the extension counter of Syndicate Bank located in the School of Distance Education at the time of admission in case of admission at School campus.
